"Elizabeth Early Sheehan has a million ideas, every one of them
organized and in place. She is a space guru and ally for the individual,
family or group that wants a spatial operating system that flows,
but doesn't know how to do it. Her quiet charm and steady energy transform
confusion into tasks and chaos into order.
I called on her as I reevaluated the space in my small house. I am
a writer and work at home. I am also a widow and was having a hard
time moving beyond the house plan established with my husband.
Elizabeth began her review by observing my everyday actions; answering
the phone, getting a file, looking in the mirror. She noted every
awkward stoop or stretch and was able to remedy most on the spot.
Small changes make big differences. She immediately switched my telephone
from one side of the desk to the other and raised a mirror to eliminate
awkward posture as I checked my appearance on my way out the door.
In the same room she created a cozier seating area by angling a couch
and area rug. A stack of throws unfolded to become lovely accents
of color on a previously drab couch.
As we moved into my emotionally difficult areas -- bedrooms and closets,
Elizabeth's common sense approach was a welcome attitude. She suggested
I move my bed and that I clean everything out from underneath. Following
her idea, I called local movers and for an hourly rate they came and
literally did the heavy lifting. I still cannot explain the lightness
of being that entered the room with these changes.
I had a vague idea that I wanted a sweater chest. Elizabeth agreed
it would address a storage need and in the week following our initial
meeting, had followed up with two possible options. She provided prices
and locations and again, suggestions on how to seal the deal. Elizabeth's
efficient search saved me hours (probably days) of wandering.
Getting myself organized has brought about changes I had not anticipated.
Once Elizabeth helped me identify how my clutter blocked me, I gained
both energy and confidence. Following her example, I organized and
supervised a bathroom renovation - a project that had previously overwhelmed
me.
Sometimes an organizer is more than an organizer. And sometimes is
always when you invite Elizabeth Early Sheehan into your home or office."
